Jake Weidmann
Refuge | Bronze Sculpture
Wings have become a signature symbol for Weidmann's collection of work as he has incorporated countless sets of wings in his drawings, paintings, and calligraphic-inspired works as well as intricately carving them in wood. The addition of Weidmann's latest bronze sculpture showcases his expert study of wings and their feathering detail.
Modeled after a pair of eagle's wings, this bronze sculpture depicts within it the beauty and grace found on creatures that have long signified the heavenly realm. These wings profoundly remind us of the promise God gives to his people as the Shekinah Glory or dwelling of His divine presence.
This sculpture is available as a limited edition series of 50.
